‘Writing SEO and GEO content for websites’ teaches you how to produce effective website copy that helps website rank higher in search engine results and be cited in AI answers.
Over six modules, you will learn effective SEO and GEO strategies that help you write compelling headlines, powerful calls to action and engaging content.
Websites generally have a mix of ‘static’ pages, such as product and service pages, and rolling content pages, such as news stories and blog posts. These serve different purposes and need to be written differently. This course gives you the skills you need to make these pages relevant to both human audiences and search engines.
In this course, you will learn:

- how to identify and write for your target audience
- how to drive relevant traffic to your landing page
- how to write optimised copy for a range of pages, including landing, home, about us, products and blogs
Note: this course will teach you how to write excellent content for mainly static pages. While it includes a short section on how to write a blog post, if you want to learn how to produce long-form content for blogs and online sites, see the following specialist courses on offer at NZ Writers’ College: Writing Articles for Websites and Blogs or Freelance Journalism.
